In my quest to make my website more interactive (without the help of a web designer, lol) there have been daily updates happening. If you haven't been over to ADRAJANEAN.COM lately, it will look different when you head over!
I'm going to tell you a little story - about a lady, who lived alone with twenty cats....
Just kidding. That would be so cliche'.
How about this story instead...
Once upon a time there lived a ginger haired lady, named Adra Janean Fenstermaker, and she had lost her love of modeling for print photography.
"How could that be?"
Well, the years had gone by, the photo files had multiplied, and she was tired of putting time and effort into something that seemed so, what's the word...narcissistic.
It's kind of hard to be an actress, model or public figure though, if you don't keep current pictures of yourself in rotation. Taking photos is part of the job, even when you want to shrink away into the shadows when at an event, hoping to go unnoticed.
Photographers would reach out to our camera shy gal.
"Let's shoot!" they would state, yet she always had an excuse as to why she could not.
Until one day, she sent a text to one photographer.
"I think I am ready to shoot again" she wrote.
So they set a date and time. Day of, the photographer asked Adra...
"Why is it that it took so long to pose for me again". Her reply this time was from a place of truth.
"I am tired of taking pictures just to take pictures. Putting all the energy into creating something that goes nowhere has begun to feel like wasted energy."
It was then, in that shoot, on that day, that photographer, Tyrone Roberts, made a decision in North Hollywood, California, that HE would find a place to put her photos.
INSPIRATION.
An email addressed to model from photogropher started off...
"The wonderful news is that you created 20 different looks from two photoshoots"....the woman reads on..
"...contribution as a writer...new online monthly magazine..."
She hears "A place for images so they don't rot taking up storage in hard drives".
Her inner monologue shouts "A place for words, a place for thoughts, a place for...."
CREATIVITY.
Inspiration and Creativity mixed together become...

PS...I know I am a GINGER at heart, but this time I got to play a RAVEN HAIRED beauty wrapped in blue, and I didn't hate it!
There are typos and errors in the portion that I wrote (which drives me CRAZY), but I MADE MY DEADLINE, and have sooooooooooooooooo much more to say.
Next time I will be sure to EDIT way better for all of you peeps that deserve spelling and grammar corrected articles, so stay with me on this journey, I am excited!
My mother will become my future editor (she just doesn't know it yet).

Almost 12 years we were together. Since photography class in college, when we still worked on SLR non-digital cameras, you remember, the kind that we loaded with film and processed in dark rooms.
You were a Christmas present from my father in Michigan, way way way, back in the day.
We got Media passes, just you and me - people gave us strange looks and asked how we did that with just my iPhone attached, but together we produced content for over 100 episodes of our online talk show ...
...but what they may not realize, is that working with creative and talented photographers for still pictures and commercial print is one of my other passions.
The thing that I love about this photo, is just how well the wardrobe
compliments the landscape. This is a dress that I personally dyed by hand,
and painted, the original was a plain pale pink dress sold "As Is" at a
thrift store, missing buttons and looking unloved. I immediately knew,
that as an artist, there was life in this garment that I wanted to share.
